American League Most Valuable Player

Aaron Judge
Aaron Judge won the AL Most Valuable Player award in 2024 beating Bobby Witt Jr. and his teammate Juan Soto. Aaron Judge had a .322 batting average with a .458 on base percentage while hitting an outstanding 58 home runs and driving in 144 runs. Aaron Judge walked 133 times which was the most in all of baseball while striking out 171 times. In the playoffs however, Judge struggled with a .184 batting average and .344 on base percentage while hitting 3 home runs in 64 plate appearances. Judge made a crucial error in the outfield in Game 5 of the World Series which possibly cost the Yankees that game.

Bobby Witt Jr.
Bobby Witt Jr. came in second place in the race losing to Aaron Judge and just beating Juan Soto. Bobby Witt Jr. put up an outstanding .332 batting average with a .389 on base percentage while hitting 32 home runs and driving in 109 runs. He led the MLB with 211 hits and stealing 31 bases in 161 games of play. Just like Aaron Judge, Bobby Witt Jr. struggled in his short time in the playoffs while getting only 5 hits in 27 plate appearances leading to a .192 batting average.

Juan Soto
Juan Soto came in third place in the race losing to Aaron Judge and Bobby Witt Jr. Soto put up a .288 batting average with a .419 on base percentage while drawing 129 walks. He hit 41 home runs and scored an outstanding 128 runs with the New York Yankees. Unlike Aaron Judge and Bobby Witt Jr., Soto had a good postseason getting 16 hits in 64 plate appearances drawing 14 walks. Soto had an .469 on base percentage and hit 4 home runs helping the Yankees go to the World Series.
