The Detroit tigers had a record of 86 wins and 76 losses just like the Kansas City Royals as the Tigers had a record of 55 wins and 63 losses after August 10th leaving them with only a 0.2% chance to make the playoffs as AJ Hinch tried this new managerial strategy which the Tigers went on a historical run finishing the season with a 31 win 13 loss streak. AJ Hinch out managed the Houston Astros manager in the Wild Card Series as the Tigers lost in the Division Series to the Cleveland Guardians.
